Description:
The WIC Program Director is responsible for overall administration of the WIC Program. Responsible for determination of eligibility of applicants applying for the WIC Supplemental Nutrition Program in accordance with the Federal and State guidelines. Responsible for development of and implementation of a Nutrition Education program for WIC participants and WIC staff. Responsible for yearly State WIC required Nutrition Services Plan. Responsible for evaluation and preparation of nutrition materials. Responsible for ensuring adequate distribution of Food Instruments and certification of eligible participants. Responsible for the provision of appropriate in-services to professional persons and groups and to the lay population working with WIC. Updates WIC staff on changes in the nutrition and administrative components of WIC in accordance with the Federal and State guidelines. Develops WIC budget in consultation with EOC accounting staff for approval by Executive Director and Board of Directors. Monitors, maintains and recommends for revision as necessary, the approved operating budget. Performs necessary tasks for completing reports and maintaining necessary records. Provides direct supervision of and performance appraisals to WIC Registered Dietitians and Program Assistant. Recruits WIC Professional and Paraprofessional staff. Conducts staff meetings and in-service training sessions for WIC staff. Participates in coalitions & meetings representing WIC. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
PROOF OF REGISTERED DIETITIAN CREDENTIAL IS REQUIRED TO BE SUBMITTED WITH APPLICATION.

Registered Dietitian (R.D.) credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association required. Administrative/Managerial Skills Essential. Three (3) years supervisory experience in WIC preferred. Exhibited sensitivity to cultural differences of clientele and demonstrated ability to work with public essential.

Clinical Nutrition Manager opportunity available in a progressive Northern North Dakota hospital

The Clinical Nutrition Manager will oversee and provide leadership to a team of Clinical Dietitians and Diet Technicians. The position is based in a hospital, but services encompass inpatients, outpatients, dialysis, hospice, home health, outpatient, mental health and more. The CNM will manage and schedule all contract assignments, public speaking and media interviews for the Clinical Dietitians. Responsibilities will also involve providing support to the Food Service Director.

Clinical Science Manager

This position will provide clinical and scientific support and substantiation for Healthcare Nutrition products and platforms, ensuring adequate scientific rationale, and documentation for benefits and claims.  Manager will develop language for use in marketing, sales communications and medical education, in support of the Healthcare Nutrition business.    Will provide ongoing claim substantiation across the company’s portfolio of products to optimize impact of communications.  Maintains comprehensive claim substantiation database.    

Position will work with Regulatory and Manufacturing/QA in the development and evaluation of nutrient content target levels and label claims.   Will

evaluate product release requests on out-of-spec products, addressing nutrient and contaminant analytical data and making recommendations regarding release in concert with Regulatory and Medical input.

--Provide scientific and clinical support for the product ingredients/nutrients. Manage product disposition issues, including product release requests and formulation decisions, leveraging scientific & clinical rationales.

--Develop and maintain policies for minimal/max release of nutrient outliers for manufacturing. Manage extraordinary release requests from the field, aligning with business priorities.

Position requirements:

• Masters degree in nutrition or closely related field.

• Five years+ of clinical nutrition experience, preferably in pediatric or critical care settings. Clinical trial development and management experience

• Nutritional or clinical management experience in a business setting desirable

• Knowledge of pediatric enteral and parenteral feedings
