The Council on Professional Issues Chair (CPI Chair) is the elected leader for the Member Education Team. Her/his primary responsibility is to plan the annual conference each Spring. The CPI Chair or designee serves as KDA liaison to conference speakers and sponsors. In addition, The CPI Chair is a voting member on the Executive Committee and the KDA Leadership Board. In this role, the CPI Chair collaborates with officers to create, implement and monitor strategic goals for the organization.

The President is Chief Executive Officer of the Association and chair of the governing board. This individual is a voting member on the Executive Committee and on the Board. The Executive Committee conducts business and approves expenditures of funds. She/he also partners with the Chair of Bylaws and Standing Rules as custodian of the policies and procedures of the organization. The President sees that all recommendations are duly considered, presides over meetings and represents the association at meetings. This officer also participates in leadership orientation and facilitates completion of the annual work plan.

The Nominating Committee Chair is the leader of the Committee and the Member Services Team This individual is the candidate who received the greatest number of votes of all committee elected members. The Chair serves for two years as chair-elect the first year and as chair the consecutive year. The Nominating Committee submits a proposed slate of officers in in January each year for officer election.

The Website Coordinator receives all requests for submissions to the KDA website. She/he will gladly assist members and prospective advertisers in posting information, surveys, and advertisements on the website. Expertise will also be provided by assisting KDA Board members in utilizing the website for public and member education.
